Welcoming Oryan Zacks to the KLI

We are happy to welcome our new Writing-Up Fellow Oryan Zacks to the KLI. Oryan is a PhD student in the Cohn Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and Ideas at Tel Aviv University under the supervision of Prof. Eva Jablonka. Her research interest lies in the evolution of imagination.

Oryan completed her BSc and MSc in the Sagol School of Neuroscience at Tel Aviv University. Her prior background as a dancer and acrobat inspired Oryan to devote her masters to studying how imagination can affect human movement. In addition to her research work, Oryan also has an extensive background in teaching and public speaking.

At the KLI, Oryan will work on her project, titled: “Evolution of Imagination” which aims to ‘develop a comprehensive and coherent framework of imagination that brings together findings from the fields of animal cognition, comparative neuroscience, and philosophy."

We wish Oryan a wonderful time at the KLI and in Austria!
